June 9, 2023 — Today, The Pokémon Company International released the newest expansion in the bestselling Pokémon Trading Card Game, Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved, at participating retailers worldwide, including Pokémon Center, the premier online destination for official Pokémon merchandise.
With Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved, Trainers can battle with more Pokémon ex, which sport high HP as well as powerful attacks and Abilities but give up two Prize cards when Knocked Out. Slowking, Forretress and Dedenne are featured in the new expansion as Tera Pokémon ex, displayed in full-art illustrations to highlight their unique crystalline characteristics. In addition, the illustration rare and special illustration rare cards in Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved feature alternate art styles, allowing Trainers to collect cards that uniquely spotlight each Pokémon’s personality traits or Evolutions.
Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved is available now in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes and special collections at Pokémon Center in the U.S., Canada and U.K., as well as other participating retailers worldwide. To celebrate the launch of Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved, Trainers can visit Best Buy in the U.S. as well as GameStop in the U.S. and Canada to pick up a special Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved promo card featuring Tinkaton with any qualifying online or in-store Pokémon TCG purchase of $15 or more. The promo card will be available starting June 23, 2023, while supplies last.
In addition, Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved is now digitally playable via the Pokémon TCG Live app for iOS, Android, macOS and Windows devices. Trainers can collect and battle with new Pokémon ex and Tera Pokémon ex, as well as receive in-game bonuses when logging in to the app.
