The Pokémon Company International, The Wand Company Unveil 2023 Lineup of Popular Poké Ball Replicas

First Replica of the Year, Featuring the Love Ball, Only Available Now at Pokémon Center

Bellevue, Wash., and Cambridge, United Kingdom — Jan. 11, 2023 — Today, The Pokémon Company International and The Wand Company launched a Love Ball replica, the first of four premium collectibles releasing throughout this year as part of the new 2023 die-cast Poké Ball replica series. The remaining replicas in the series will include a Dive Ball, Net Ball and Luxury Ball.

Based on an item introduced in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games, the Love Ball replica is crafted with a die-cast metal shell and high-gloss lacquer finish featuring the iconic pink color and heart design from the games. In addition, the detailed replica is equipped with proximity-sensing technology, enabling the front button to illuminate upon touch or motion detection.

The Love Ball replica is available now at Pokémon Center, the premier online destination for official Pokémon merchandise. Trainers in the US, Canada and UK will be able to order the replica from Pokémon Center for one month before it becomes available at other participating retailers in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand.

“Pokémon Center delivers the most premium merchandise for fans of the brand, and The Wand Company continues to create stunning replicas of iconic Poké Balls that capture nostalgic moments from Pokémon history, transporting Trainers directly into the Pokémon world,” said Cindy Ruppenthal, senior director of Pokémon Center and ecommerce at The Pokémon Company International. “The exquisite details and careful design of each replica provide Trainers with another way to engage with the Pokémon brand while adding a premium item to their collection.”

“Through the continuation of our partnership with The Pokémon Company International, fans can expect to see even more premium and authentic Poké Ball replicas throughout 2023,” said Chris Barnardo, CEO of The Wand Company. “We hope these new replicas will make fans feel as if they’re holding their very own piece of the Pokémon world in their hands.”

Trainers can also purchase hugely popular replicas launched previously, including the iconic Poké Ball, Heal Ball, Friend Ball, Quick Ball, Cherish Ball and more, at Pokémon Center and participating retailers. Every Poké Ball replica produced by The Wand Company comes with a uniquely numbered presentation case and a stainless steel ring to display the product.
