Create Your Own Pokémon Paradise with Pokémon Pokopia, Available Now

Shape the world and build a cozy new life with Pokémon

Bellevue, Wash. – March 5, 2026 - The Pokémon Pokopia game is now available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 system. Pokémon Pokopia is a cozy life simulation adventure in which players can work together with their Pokémon pals to create a world that everyone can live in.

Pokémon Pokopia includes a range of exciting features for fans to experience.

  • A New Life from the Ground Up – Players play as a Ditto that has awoken from a long slumber and transformed to look like a human. Seeing the withered grass and trees, Ditto decides to build the area anew by crafting items and learning moves from other Pokémon, creating a utopia for everyone to live in.
  • Building the Ideal Space – Trainers can learn moves from the Pokémon they meet, such as Bulbasaur’s Leafage and Squirtle’s Water Gun, to help create habitats that attract different Pokémon. Players can also interact with the Pokémon they meet, including playing jump rope with Bulbasaur’s vines, having Charmander light fires, or teaming up with Pokémon to build structures.
  • Meeting Mysterious Pokémon – Players will encounter mysterious Pokémon during their adventures, including Professor Tangrowth, Peakychu, Mosslax,  Smearguru, and more.
  • Enjoy with up to Four Friends – Join together with friends in multiplayer via local wireless[1] or Nintendo Switch Online.[2] Trainers can invite other players and Pokémon to visit and hang out via local wireless or online. Players can also use GameShare[3] to invite visitors who don’t have the game themselves to play on a Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch system.
Players can also look forward to the first limited-time in-game event “More Spores for Hoppip” taking place from Monday, March 9 at 8:00 p.m. UTC to Tuesday, March 24 at 7:59 p.m. UTC.[4]  During this event, Trainers can befriend Hoppip and collect cotton spores that can be exchanged for picnic-themed furniture items. These items can then be used to create habitats to also befriend Skiploom and Jumpluff—Pokémon that normally can’t be encountered in-game.

Trainers can also watch members of the Game Freak, Koei Tecmo, and The Pokémon Company development teams on the official Pokémon YouTube channel give a guided tour of an island they created.
